About the Photographer            

That’s me, over there on the right with the TV Camera.  After thirty five years of covering almost every news event in the Los Angeles Area, I’m retiring. Well, sort of retiring.  I spend a lot of time taking pictures in my favorite locations, the mountains and deserts of California.  I also travel to places like New Brunswick, Canada, New England, Washington and Oregon.  Those pictures are on this web site.  Just click on the blue box above and check out those photos. 

Just to keep the record straight, I cheat. Most of my work has been enhanced in Photoshop. I like big skies, special effects, added wild life, bright colors, added people, birds etc. I believe the phrase "artistic license" was developed just for me. I even added some hair to my own photograph up there and took out a couple of wrinkles. Vanity, I guess, but that will be our little secret.

As a newsman, I was always  dedicated to portraying news events accurately and honestly, but with scenic  photographs, the kind I make, there are no limits. Only my imagination.  I believe if you can make a good photograph better, go for it. That raven you may notice in the upper corner of most of my work, is my signature and trademark.  By the way, the Magic Raven Logo is registered with the U.S. Copyright office as are all the photographs on this web site.
