The Magic Raven has never been able to pass through Owens Valley without marveling at the variety of photographic opportunities.  This is an area just outside and west of Manzanar.

The Magic Raven found this Photograph of the Sierra Nevada taken in 1944 by Ansel Adams.  The Raven  decided to try and duplicate that Photo. (shown below)  He found the approximate location with Mount Williamson in the background but it's obvious he's  no Ansel Adams.  I think Mr. Adams waited till late in the afternoon with the sun streaming though the clouds backlighting the rocks.  The Magic Raven needs to be more patient.   His  picture was taken around  Noon.  He got the mountains, he got the rocks, and he got the clouds, but somehow they just didn't make the same great artistic statement delivered by Ansel Adams.

This deserted cafe in Olancha is available for some ambitious restaurateur.

I had an empty space so I stuck in this one.
