| According to my information route 66 started (or ended) at the corner of Lincoln and Olympic in Santa Monica. Here's what that corner looks like today. | |

| The Pacific Coast Highway is probably not a part of old route 66, but on bright spring day with the surf's up and your in Santa Monica anyway, it's just to easy to make a right turn on PCH.and proceed north. | |

| These strange blue huts in the parking lot next to the beach will be gone someday but the magic raven likes them. Santa Monica Blvd, above right, actually is part of Rte. 66. But it really pretty boring so I took a picture out the car window. | |
