The high mountains in the Sierras called last week.  The Magic Raven answered.  You know the Magic Raven likes short hikes so this one to Little Pot Hole Lake above Independence took about one hour.

The water is running swiftly this time of the year in the mountains.  The Magic Raven is always attracted to waterfalls.

You could see the trout in the water.  They seemed to be looking back at the Magic Raven knowing full well he is not a very good fisherman.

They're right.  Besides the raven didn't bring a fishing pole.  The raven doesn't like carrying lots of heavy stuff up steep mountain trails.  His feet get sore.

This is the Magic Raven's grand daughter.  She likes squirrels.  The Magic Raven likes to take pictures of  her with squirrels.  This picture has nothing to do with Onion Valley but the Magic Raven is taking a small measure of poetic license here and throwing in this photo.   Just a note: I never got a release from the squirrel or my grand daughter to use their likenesses  in this photo.  Is the Magic Raven in trouble again?
