  The Northwest Passage

In mid-October the Magic Raven, accompanied by Mrs. Magic Raven drove north through Upper California to Oregon and Washington.  We wanted to experience fall colors but found far more as we toured state and national parks throughout the great Northwest.

   The brand new Sun Dial Bridge in Redding was an unexpected surprise on our first evening heading north from Los Angeles

After leaving Redding drove west on Highway 299 Highway 101 then north through Crescent City.  we stopped at the Lady Bird Johnson Redwoods National Park before continuing north into Oregon.

We could have spent week after week slipping in and out of pristine beaches and scenic coves like the ones above as we drove along highway 101.   Next stop, Oregon.
